News 2019

See the ‘What’s On Page 2019’ where we have listed our speakers for the year so far!

It is with great sadness that Paul has lost his battle with Lymphoma. Paul and his wife Sue (Hartley) have been members of our group from the early days of Paul’s illness and have actively contributed to the success of the group.

Sue would like to invite everyone to Paul’s celebration of life will be held at Radcliffe crematorium on Wednesday 10th April at 3.30pm and then afterwards at the Brown Cow, Burrs County Park ,Bury. You do not have to wear black but Paul was a blue or grey person.

Flowers from family members only and donations received will go to charities of the family’s choice one of which will be our group. Sue does not expect any donations from the group.

Our thoughts are with Sue and the family at this sad time and hope to see any of you who can possibly make it on the day

September is National Blood Cancer Awareness Month. On 16 September we held our event at North Manchester General Hospital which proved to be a big success. We made contact with patients, relatives, carers and hope we helped them with the information we were able to share.

Clinical staff from A&E, Respiratory team and wards also showed interest some having a wide range of knowledge and promising to share the information we provided in their clinical environments.

Thank you too North Manchester Estates and Facilities for helping us with the arrangements!
